Update -- Even though there is not a Match Entry First Letter
functionality that works as before and as described in the prior post
below, I have subsequently found an auto-complete style functionality.
When I type CTRL+0 and continue typing the first few letters of the
variable -- for instance, "Mac" for "Machine Name," it does come up in
the box, and I can insert the variable.

Subject: FM 9 Desired Feature - Variables to Return to Match Entry First
Letter Functionality

This may have been mentioned before, but I think it bears repeating.
It's been very useful in Frame to type CTRL+0 to get to the variable
list and then to type the first lettter of the named variable and cycle
through until the desired entry appears for selection.

What FM 9 does is bring up the first alphabetically corresponding
variable and then present a drop-down.

For example, if I choose M, I get Modification Date. In the past, I
could then type M a couple of times more and wend my way through the
various variables until Machine Name popped up. Now, instead, I have to
go hunt for Machine Name in the drop-down list.

It's a small thing, but an efficiency. A return to the old behavior, in
this case, would be appreciated.
