Re: FM9 and SDL Author Assistant: Has anyone used this?
Hi Alison I asked the same question in March. Cathy Arthur was the only one who had actually used it. This was her reply: I implemented it in my group several months ago. I really like it and it has definitely improved everyone's writing. We do not translate, but we do write for a very technical audience that does not always have excellent English skills. The files that are used to specify rules will probably take awhile to develop. I was able to obtain the files from the primary docs group in the company (who do external docs) which was the bulk of the work. RE: FM9 and SDL Author Assistant: Has anyone used this?
I've got it installed, but don't really use it. It doesn't seem to affect my FM9 install at all. -Original Message- From: framers-boun...@lists.frameusers.com [mailto:framers-boun...@lists.frameusers.com] On Behalf Of Alison Craig Sent: Monday, June 07, 2010 2:29 PM To: framers@lists.frameusers.com Subject: FM9 and SDL Author Assistant: Has anyone used this? I've downloaded a copy of SDL free Author Assistant (for use with FM9) but before I install it, I wondered if anyone has actually used this and if they would be willing to share their experience. Re: FM9 and SDL Author Assistant: Has anyone used this?
I've downloaded a copy of SDL free Author Assistant (for use with FM9) but before I install it, I wondered if anyone has actually used this and if they would be willing to share their experience. I installed it to try out the grammar checker. At first glance, the grammar checker seemed like it was flagging way too much. There is probably a way to set preferences to help with that. In any cases, I haven't had a chance to follow up to see what I really think. Mike Wickham ___ You are currently subscribed to framers as arch...@mail-archive.com.
