Definitely too little RAM is the likely culprit (processor speed may matter too - how old is your computer?) Depending on the graphics card you have in your system, some of that 1GB RAM is also being used-for/overlapped-with the graphics card and reducing the available memory further. You
Aside from the RAM issue that others have commented on, I go through phases when I get multiple Frame crashes as well (Windows 7, 64bit, 6Gb Ram with FM9 all patched). The crashes almost always occur when I try to open the Conditional text tab. My books are large but not huge (up to 35 files
