Hi Andy,

In your index, choose View > Reference Pages and go to the IX Reference
Page. Find the paragraph with the <$pagenum> building block. Change the
formatting for this paragraph and regenerate the index. Please let me know
if you have any questions or comments. Thank you very much.

I'm having some trouble with my formatting for my index. (FM9, Win XP pro.)

I'm generating the index in the standard way and the format seems to be the
default, or at least I don't remember editing the paragraph format for the
index. (I'm pretty much self taught in FM so there may be some errors in my
methodology.) The paragraph tag is 'Level1SIX' which I know is automatically
generated as I didn't give it that name. It also seems to match my body text
format but I don't know if I modified it when I ran the first index months
ago.

So here's the thing:

The text of the entry is Arial 10pt as is my body text, but the numbers
generated against them are in some other font, probably Times. Clicking
anywhere in the entry, either in the text or the page number, shows the
format as Level1SIX which is Arial 10pt.

I've tried clicking in the line and applying the format but nothing happens.

Does anybody know what's going on here and how I make the numbers match the
text?
