Is it possible to go from FrameMaker 7.2 to 9 and bypass FrameMaker 8.
Will problems occur?

9 uses a different file format, so you would probably want to keep an
insurance copy /archive of your 7 files, just in case. I think the
only problem would be the same one that you'd encounter moving from 7
to 8 -- unicode support requires some changes to upper-order
characters inserted in 7
Hello Danny,
When your FM7 documents uses virtual fonts
(e.g. Arial Greek), FM8 tries to convert
the chars to Unicode (mostly successfully).
FM 9.0p183 does not consider virtual/mapped
fonts.
