I think many Content Management systems have problems in 'diffing' binary files, so they don't try - they just save complete copies with each 'change'. We previously used Documentum/FrameLink and that was how that system operated also. We have recently installed SharePoint in our company and I

Hello all, probably this question was already answered elsewhere, I just couldn't find a reference. I need to install 2 different versions of FM 7 on the same machine - build b023 and another build p116. Reason for this is that I have a language patch for b023 and it doesn't exist for p116.

Relative Paths for OLE Links?

I'm stuck with using OLE links for the time being. Can anyone confirm that FrameMaker supports relative paths with OLE, as it does with its Import by Reference feature? I know the Microsoft products insist on an absolute path. Does anyone know of a resource for OLE and Frame, or even just OLE?

I upgraded to FM 8 this week and noticed something strange. In my template I have a paragraph style for a special bullet. The bullet is a character from the Webdings font set. In FM 8, when I apply this bullet paragraph style, a different Webdings character is now used for the bullet than had

FrameMaker 8 certainly does handle fonts differently from earlier versions. It is a Unicode application and such changes in character mappings is a major area to watch out for when migrating any document to FrameMaker 8 that uses characters in fonts that are not mapped correctly. All the Wingding,
