Add information to registry ?

Hi Framers, Every time I open FrameMaker I get a message 'Are you sure you want to add the information in C:\Documents and Settings\jowatkiss\Local Settings\Temp\frmreg.reg to the registry?' This has only started very recently, and I can't tie it in to any software updates. I'm not sure if

Jo - Do you get this message when starting FM 6, FM 9 or both?  Have you looked at the contents of the fmreg.reg file (it's really just a text file so you can open it in notepad or similar editor) to see what it is trying to add? Typically, these sort of files update the registry to associate

Does anyone have experience with publishing a print book created in Frame for the Amazon Kindle? From what I've managed to figure out from the web, the output is HTML, and there are a lot of dos and don'ts available from Amazon. None of these, of course, refer to specific software that a book

I may not be fully understanding the question, but because the deliverable format is HTML or HTML-based (http://www.amazon.com/gp/help/customer/display.html?nodeId=200140600), why would it matter what the authoring platform was, so long as it output clean HTML (or one of the other formats)? The

Hi, I started with FM7, creating a user's manual for our equipment. I dutifully imported the graphics by reference, using JPEG images (I didn't know any better back then). Still, the output fit my needs, and it worked fine. Now I've upgraded to FM8, and those same graphics have 'aged' in a

Lea, Do you have a PDF copy of the original version, in which the graphics look OK? If so, then you can use PDF as your graphic format and probably retain the original quality. Just extract each page with a graphic on it and crop as necessary to get the correct size. We have to do this with old
