I'm trying to figure out why I would need to round-trip between Structured
Framemaker sources and XML. I thought it would be for translation purposes
but one of my translators tells me that Trados (Tag editor) allows editing
(translating) structured FM sources as well as XML.

I am looking to upgrade my group's FM licenses from 7.X to the current
version 11 in the Windows environment. However, I need to know if this
version supports backwards compatibility to version 10, 9, and possibly all
the way to version 7. I provide my sources to clients who customiz

I'm trying to display the "<" character in my index and all I get is an
empty space with the page number at its side. Is this a reserved character
in Framemaker?
I am using Framemaker 7.0 and Ixgen on Windows XP Pro. The archives show
nothing of this sort.

I've searched online and the best result is an Adobe PDF about asian
languages for Framemaker 7 which is unclear. I am unsure whether this
subject was previously addressed and I apologize if it has.
