This is probably for people with some knowledge of FrameMaker internals...
My clients have persistent issues saving FrameMaker binary files to
Dropbox-synced filesystems (even local filesystems that are synced to
Dropbox). FrameMaker presents a warning that it cannot save the file,
and moves the file to a new copy with a random three-character extension.
Best workaround is to turn off Dropbox syncing when working with FrameMaker.
Question: Does the FrameMaker "Dropbox" feature (File>Utilities>Save to
Dropbox folder) do anything special to mitigate this issue?
