The problem with XML Author was that it was priced too high. It should have
been $100 at the most; better at $50 or even free. It would have been a good
"feeder" product for the full FrameMaker product. I don't remember the
price, but I think it was around $400, which was too high for what was
basically an XML editor.

  web page tells about a component content management system (CCMS).

So where has XML Author gone?
