Disappearing EPS file - Take 2

2007-01-29 Thread ActionA
Hi all,

Wow, so many quick responses, thank you.

The graphic appears on the master page and it is not in an anchored frame.
There is no grey box, and the graphic disappears completely. It has been saved
with a tiff preview, but it does not print either.

Thanks,
Nancy Adams

2007-01-29 Thread Rick Quatro

Hi Nancy,

Try this:

1) Go to the master page where the graphic should be.

2) Click in the margin so there is not a text insertion point anywhere.

3) Choose Edit Select All on Page.

4) Hold the Shift key and deselect all of the visibly selected text frames,
etc.

5) Choose Graphics Object Properties, if it is available. If it is not
available, your graphic will have to be reimported.

6) If you get the Properties dialog box, enter zeros in the Top and Left
fields and click Set. See if the graphic appears.

Can you please do me a favour and forward this message to the list? I

You know, now that I think of it, I can fix the template and then reimport
the master pages to all of the files that need changing.

Are you sure it's disappeared? Maybe you're just seeing a white portion of
the graphic. Once in a while I manage to get some little piece of something
somewhere way, way out on the pasteboard in Illustrator. When that gets
saved, the drawing becomes huge, sometimes something like 10 feet across.
Almost all of the drawing is white, so that it's just about impossible to
find the actual drawing in all that white.

Go back to Illustrator, zoom way, way out, and Select All.
