RE: FW: Faster scrolling

2007-06-07 Thread Michael Zaichenko
If I have a graphic intensive job, I save all my graphic as low res copy
with a low res preview (it's like OPI for FM :-) though not quite) and
relink my document to this new folder.

Once done, I link it back to regular graphic.

We have graphic-intensive docs and it takes forever to scroll through the
doc. Is there a way to speed things up?

Hi Natalie,
You could always hide the graphics when you don't need to view them.
The keyboard shortcut is Esc+v+v (make sure to type lowercase v).
The same through menus is View Options... and uncheck Graphics in
the dialog box.

If you save your graphics as EPS, Frame will only display the low-resolution
preview. There are some other reasons you may prefer not to use EPS (the
low-res preview being one of them), but this definitely speeds things up,
especially if you're waiting for Frame to draw bitmaps.

Go to ViewOptions and de-select the bottom-most option:
Graphics. All anchored frames containing graphics will display
as white boxes of the proper size (i.e. pagination is not
affected), and the scrolling will be much faster.
