I'm surprised at the content of the message, though. Adobe is the
2nd-to-last company I'd expect to send out unsigned software. This is wildly
off-topic for this list, but does anyone here know if there's been a change
in security key protocols in Win7?

If you are sure that Adobe is not messing with your computer when

Even if we say yes and continue, system hangs frequently during the
installation. After the installation when you click on FrameMaker icon, FM does
not open. Please suggest.

Re: Frame on Vista and Win7

2009-10-22 Thread Art Campbell
I've been running 8 and 9 on W7 systems since the second beta version,
on several computers, without any problems. I suspect there wouldn't
be a problem with 7 either, but I haven't played with it.

And all the components of TCS2 seem to be fine under 7.

RE: Frame on Vista and Win7

2009-10-22 Thread Pinkham, Jim
FWIW, I was on a Win7 conference call last week, hosted by Microsoft and
HP. The Microsoft spokesman said 98 percent to 99 percent of all apps
that will run on XP or Vista, will also run on Win 7. They're not
claiming 100 percent, he said, because the remaining 1 percent to 2
percent have yet to be verified.

RE: Frame on Vista and Win7

2009-10-22 Thread Syed.Hosain
The usual Windows 7 User Account Control (UAC) feature asking for
permission to do something. It is less obtrusive in Windows 7 compared
to Vista, but ... still a pain sometimes.

If you are sure that Adobe is not messing with your computer when
installing FrameMaker, then the answer to this question should be Yes.
