Message "One or more master pages do not exist
Hi Martha, If you're sure all mentioned Master Pages exist, check capitalization or other writing errors , FrameMaker is case sensitive (if f.e your Master Page is named 'first' and you refer in the table to 'First' you'll get this error). I've followed your recommendations and set the ChapterTitle para to start "Top of Right Page". (I'm not starting chapters on a left-hand page.) But in your MasterPageMap you defined the use of 'First' two times: one for a left-handed page and one for a right-handed page. Best practice for a first page is: set the Paragraph tag (in this case 'ChapterTitle) to begin on a right-handed page and in your MasterPageMap only define the Master Page in the column under 'Right-Handed' - set the Page Range Indicator to 'Single'. If you also use left-handed first pages you must define both a left-handed Master Page and a right-handed master Page using different names (f.e. First-L and First-R) Kind regards, vriendelijke groet, Wim Hooghwinkel Adobe Certified Expert (ACE) in FrameMaker iDTP International DTP and Documentation Consultancy tel. +31652036811 info at idtp.eu www.idtp.eu *

Message "One or more master pages do not exist"
Hi all, Windows XP SP 2 FrameMaker 7.2 p158 I've just started a new template with five Master pages: First Right Left LandscapeRight LandscapeLeft "First" ist mapped to the paragraph format "ChapterTitle" on the Reference pages: UnstructMasterPageMaps Book Update (Yes or No): Yes Paragraph Tag;Name Right-Handed Master Page (or Single-Sided Master Page);Left-Handed Master Page Range Indicator (Single, Span pages, Until changed);Comments ChapterTitle;First;First;Single I can apply any of the Master pages by using Format > Page Layout > Master Page Usage. When I select Format > Page Layout > Apply Master Pages, I get the following message: One or more master pages do not exist. Aborting "Apply Master Pages..."! Does anyone know why I'm getting this message? Martha
