Myserious files from FM

2009-06-01 Thread Jon Harvey
Everyone,

I have an FM 7.2 (Windows XP Pro) book that I update on occasion. In the
directory in which the book resides, FM has created several files that
neither Windows nor FM recognizes. The files have endings such as
*.fm.8F8, *.auto.fm.108, and *.fm.6E8. Anyone know what these files are?

Have you recently upgraded WinXP to SP3? This thread from the Frameusers
archive talks about a problem with SP3 and imported OLE objects.

They're the temp files created if/when you have automatic save and/or
backup turned on in preferences.
If you have a crash or shut down abnormally, they can be left behind.
