Patrick,
the only way I assume will be this:
- insert a 2-column table (1 row only) - the columns as wide as necessary to 
hold the 
frames.
- In each column you have a parapgraph in which you insert an achored frame 
(Run into 
paragraph or At insertion Point).
- Since the table may be wider than the text column, you frame may also go 
across 
this border.

The short answer is yes, if you position the anchored frames at insertion point 
or outside the text column or frame.
