Re: [Framers] API or ExtendScript function for Read Application Definitions
Hi Ian, I got this working with some help from Adobe. This is the syntax: CallClient ("FmDispatcher", "ReadAppFile " + doc.id); Rick -Original Message- From: Framers On Behalf Of ian.proudf...@itp-x.co.uk Sent: Saturday, August 11, 2018 6:32 AM To: 'An email list for people using Adobe FrameMaker software.' Re: [Framers] API or ExtendScript function for Read Application Definitions
Hi Ian, Maybe this only works if I use FmDispatch to open the XML file. I want to read the application definitions programmatically, but not open any xml files programmatically. The idea is that the user will open a map that could have various outputs (using different templates/transforms, etc.). I want to present them with a dialog box asking what kind of output they want. Based on their selection, I want to be able to programmatically read the appropriate structapps file so that when they open any topics or create output, the correct version of the application will be used. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.
