this problem seems to be common for some Adobe
applications. I have it with Indesign CS4 and old Win XP, and also with
Indesign CS6 and Win7. Fortunately, I can work for quite a long time...
Suddenly, nothing can be copied/pasted, not even text.

What version of Windows are you using? I've found, using Windows 8.1, that if I
close any previous application, anything I cut or copied within that app
vanishes from the Windows clipboard.
