Re: FrameMaker documentation

2014-12-19 Thread Mike Wickham
Klaus, I got manuals with 7.0 and 7.1. They appear to be identical 7.0
manuals. I did not buy 7.2, so don't know on that one. 8.0 definitely
did not come with a manual, nor any of the versions since.

Re: FrameMaker documentation

2014-12-19 Thread Robert Lauriston
I believe the Asian-language doc for FrameMaker 7 was made obsolete by
support for Unicode added in FM8. It's online:

http://help.adobe.com/en_US/FrameMaker/8.0/chinese_korean.pdf

The newly revised FM12 docs cover that under Asian language support.

Thank You Robert,

It turns out that the 'official' (by FM directly addressed pdf/html) contain
the
following proviously separate documents:

- Chinese and Korean Features (as of FM-7) [
- Japanese Publishing with Adobe FameMaker 7.0 [9 pages]

It seems that the previously separate information is completely integrated now
- on
various places (¶-formats, index, find etc.). But I have to check that in
detail to
give feedback to Adobe.

At least the availability of additional Japanese date building blocks (e.g.
$daynumkanjikazu) is not mentioned in the FM-12 user guide.

Have a nice day and also Merry Christmas
Klaus
