Don't be surprised
To manage a book component you need to use the book file and tools, not the
component ones.
Many of the basics, like this, are covered in the help file / manual, and
third party books, as well as the various list archives..

After *carefully* following the given instrcitions, it's working now,
Don't know what I did wrong before. Actually...I was invoking the Doc
Numbering window from the main menu and not from the right-click menu. But I
would be surprised if that would make a difference.

HI all,
In one particular book, the TOC section starts at page 4, and I want it to
start at page iv.
Nothing I do seems to want it to start at page iv.
Ideas?
