That's the plan.  My understanding is that we're not likely to have a
new major release of the CMF for Plone 3.1. So if we want these
changes, then it makes sense to drop them into Plone and then merge it
into CMF for the next major release.  If the CMF situation changes,
then these should certainly go into CMF ASAP.  In fact I'd suggest
merging this stuff into CMF trunk as soon as the implementation in
Plone is done and reasonably tested.

I must say I'd rather have this one go into the CMF directly. We have
the people with the access, and I think your proposal should have no
trouble being accepted for a future CMF version.

In the same vein I'd rather see PLIP #217 go directly into the CMF, if
it were not for the fact I'd like to see the CMFPlacefulWorkflow
monkey patch disappear ASAP. Perhaps we should ensure that we port
both PLIPs to the CMF ASAP.
