Sandy,   Seriously, is this what you're advocating, with homegrown ivory harvesting? Because this is how they get it. They hack their faces off. Oftentimes, since they are matriarchal groups of elephants, they end up leave orphans, who blessedly have no ivory, to fend for them selveselves.
