Does anyone know if it is possible to reversal process print film (b/w
7302) using D-97 developers? I have successfully reversal hand-processed
the 7302 print stock using D-19, but the result is too contrasty to my
liking. Does anyone have any experience with these types of experiments?

Expose for the shadows, develop for the highlights. If it's too
contrasty, increase the exposure and reduce the development time.
That said, getting pictorial contrast out of a print stock is going
to be a bit of an adventure and I think you'd be much better off with
a very low contrast
