Does anyone have any recommendations about labs that can do a high-quality
super-8 film to HD video transfer at a reasonable price, preferably in the
Los Angeles area?
Comments on typical/good rates would be much appreciated. The volume of
material is unclear, but estimated

I have no idea on rates, but the only L.A. area provider I'd recommend is
Cinelicious. Really beautiful scans from Super-8.

There's Pro8mm in Burbank. I've worked with them before. Their HD transfer
looks great, although there might be a cheaper option (I think HD transfers
are $500 per hour of footage with a 15 minute limit).
