THE HATE MAN, STREET PHILOSOPHER
The Hate Man, Street Philosopher (by local filmmaker Ivan Jaigirdar) is a
quirky, entertaining and moving portrait of a Berkeley street philosopher
called the “Hate Man”. This short documentary, explores Hate Man’s enigmatic
life, including why, thirty years ago, he chose to quit, his job as a
successful New York Times journalist, drop out of mainstream society and live
in the streets.

the showcase, we'll have live art from illustrator Simon Lutrin and a raffle!

interdisciplinary practice, working prolifically across the mediums of film,
poetry and painting. Often shot and edited in camera, her film work chronicled
motherhood and domestic life, the worn traces of urban settlement and the
persistent presence of the natural world.” – Circuit This program, curated by
film maker and curator Peter Todd, includes Joanna's works: Napkins, Jillian
Dressing, Task, Sisterhood, Seacliff, Body/House, Motorway, Barrys Bay 2,
