Until this morning the camera always ran a little (the filmed jammed today
while shooting ice jammed up on the banks of a river).
Found a manual and going to do Kodak’s recommended maintenance. Also diving
into the message board link.

The answer is to take it to your nearest archive that can handle nitrate
film. Has your local film archive identified the content? In itself, if
it's in good condition, nitrate is safe and obviously can last more than a
hundred years. What you have might be deemed worthless (if there's
the flash temp is conventionally understood as 40 degrees centigrade. I
keep some in metal tins lined with fireboard (dry liner, plasterboard) in
a darkroom and keep an eye on temp. During the heatwave in uk this year
