I've been cleaning out a filing cabinet in preparation for moving to the Poconos and I found two sheets about how to make mattes using the bluescreen process.

The attached handouts were prepared for a showing of Babobilicons, with discussion afterwards.  I was afraid that someone would ask how to do bluescreen (which was used for the film) and I would get terribly muddled with trying to do a quick explanation.  There IS NO QUICK EXPLANATION.  It has to be taken step by step, trying to visualize the resulting image on each step.

If you find these docs interesting, I would suggest opening them in a picture viewing program so they can be read slowly, bit by bit.
