Sunday April 23rd at 2:00pm. We are excited to have our new
instructor, Jordan Stone, who will guide students in a comprehensive
look at the art of film making. Class is limited to fifteen students.

i have regular 8mm (double) footage which i would like to screen using my
8mm projector.

Through my imprint Imminent Frequencies, I have just released Rick Corrigan
"Soundtracks For Brakhage" a limited edition cassette release, which
compiles three of the soundtracks Rick Corrigan made between 1990-1992 for

Although the concept is simple, it is not so easy to make something
reliable. Notice the one in the lower left of this photo, that seems
to be the Baia which used to sell for under $10. It is so simple, but
I don't know of anyone making something like this anymore.

Widescreen Centre might have one. They often have wacky old
double-8 stuff in back and I believe they still process double-8
so they should have a slitter.
It's possible to make your own with two razor blades and properly
cut aluminum stock, but the edge is never as clean as if it was
trimmed wi
This small Baia film splitters may still be around at old camera
stores or whatever and people not even knowing what they are. They
are tiny and could be in a box of assorted accessories somewhere.
Look for the Baia film splitter. They work quite well.
