Hi All,
I'm looking to get my hands on a couple Marantz portable cassette decks
that have been discontinued (...a long time ago). I know that a number of
filmmakers used these to make field recordings.
Model # is PMD201. Is there anyone in the LA area that still has one of
these??

Have you tried the production sound rental houses in LA yet Coffey,

A timely request.
I shipped Rick Ballard our EIKI Xenon projector. He's in Alabama (334

And I've also been looking for the Xenon bulb replacement for this EIKI.
It looks like the lamp is type ELC, but the best chance of finding one,

Hi all,
Filmforum is still looking to buy a portable 16mm xenon projector. If you

I've tried rental companies (I just get laughs). Coffey, SIR, ISS, the

laughing now...) but the deck rarely work. I am down to frameworks.

Hi all,
I recently bought a replacement bulb for my ARRI 750 open face, and it's
definitely not 750 watts. Does anyone know what I did wrong? Can anyone
tell me a cheap place to buy the right kind of bulb?
Thanks,
Bryan

Hey, thanks!
It's an EX-300-SL.
I'd love to get one of them powerful xenon lamps, but it's likely it's running
something less.

As Scott pointed out... ELC is not xenon.
What model of machine do you have SL-II ? Is it the SL or SSL? SL is
Ok, you have a EX-300, I believe that takes a 350W xenon. I'm not terribly
familiar with that machine.
For the lamp, try Superior Quartz Product to see if the lamp has been
clones, or try Eiki USA to see if they have stock for the older lamps. You
might even
ask ACE here in Portland as they have

Hey Guys,
So I'm looking for a way to keep film in a camera for awhile in an apartment
that sometimes gets pretty warm. I'm wondering how bad of an idea it'd be to
keep the camera in the fridge.
I'm working on a project that mostly involves stills but also some motion, I'd

Viviane,
I thought you'd like this.

Film is not so unstable that it should hurt by being at room temperature (even
a warm room) for a couple weeks. I've shot rolls of film that have sat in warm
closets for years and still come out fine in developing. While I don't imagine
the temperature of a fridge would do a lot of harm to the
