Ugh. It's so highly variable from airport to airport. Some inspectors will let you open the can and show the end of the reel. Some will force you to put the can through the x-ray. And there's no way to know in advance what the policies are or how the inspectors are feeling that day. It's

Hello Peter, Counties in the EU and Asia (not sure where you are going) ask that you write a letter of request to the director of security at the airport. This is what was told to me in France, Portugal, Japan and others. I never took part in it and just let the film pass through the xrays. The
