There is a screw on the interior of the mechanism that allows for
claw-adjustment. Make 1/4 turns at a time to see if this can assist in
solving the problem.
I have a schematic somewhere; will post when I find it. Fairly easy to
spot once you open up the back of the unit to see it's meat.

Do adjust that screw... but FIRST make sure the cam lubrication is good. I
have seen too many of these machines where the cam just wears out because
people aren't careful about doing regular maintenance on them.

"the man who could not see far enough" has an eight minute section documenting
a total solar eclipse shot off the coast of Africa and uses the material for a

If I 'm not mistaken, the actual eclipse is not visible in Tacita's film. It
was totally overcast that day. Nicky

The 2012 Transit of Venus is combined with the 2004, so it's two films in one
now. Nicky

I've got one called Untitled (Eclipse). It's the annular solar eclipse from
2012.

Hello all,
Here's a very special, last-minute screening of six 35mm films,
including *Engram

Dear friends, colleagues and lovers of film,
We at the artist-run film lab, LaborBerlin, recently made a decision that,
seeing the increasing speed with which commercial film-labs in Germany and

Our recent 'Film That Buys The Cinema' (an anthology film made up of 70 x

the one by Ben Rivers.

been serviced recently but they go through rough usage with loops every

I'm not looking at the whole thread, but I have to recommend one of my
favorite films, Peter Rose's "The Man Who Could Not See Far Enough," which
has a whole segment of people watching a solar eclipse.

Dear Frameworks readers,
I've organized two shows coming up; one this weekend and one the next, in
San Francisco and Los Angeles respectively. The first program brings a
number of Super 8 and 16mm films made at / through the Echo Park Film
Center to screen in the Bay Area, all for the first time. T
