I believe U California Berkeley has the Riggs archive  (might be elsewhere, but 
I’m sure there is one coherent collection at a good institution).  You might 
try asking them.  As I remember, Buchanan pushed very hard in the California 
primaries and then lost there and had to withdraw.  You might try other 
California libraries strong in media collections.
