Re: [Frameworks] Call for Submissions: Edinburgh International Film Festival

2016-02-22 Thread ev petrol
Hello Kim, how are you?

I had your submission deadline down on my list and somehow let the date slip,
daft altogether - is there any chance you could still accept a submission?

this is what I was hoping to send in (horrible telecine, but I've a better one
coming soon):
American Dreams #5: Cruise Control (2016, 10 mins, 16mm)

Hope you don't mind me asking - and if it's too late I fully understand
all the best,

Hi Kim,

thanks for your shout-out. I have got a film I would like to submit.
Could you let me know if it is possible to get a fee waiver? It's a
short film that I am working on, just about to be finished off, so it
hasn't been shown anywhere yet. I would submit online.

Best,

Insa

[Frameworks] CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS: Edinburgh International Film Festival

2015-01-07 Thread Kim Knowles
Dear Frameworkers,

CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS: BLACK BOX@EDINBURGH INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL, 17-28
June 2015

It's that time of year again!

EIFF is inviting submissions for short and medium-length films for the BLACK
BOX experimental section. We support equally film and digital formats and
encourage submissions on 16mm and 35mm. This year we are particularly
interested in films that deal with the theme of either performance or the
environment, although the selection is by no means limited to these areas.

Black Box showcases work by both emerging and established filmmakers. The 2014
edition included Monica Saviron, Kevin Jerome Everson, Guillaume Callieau, Mara
Mattuschka, Peter Snowdon, Jeanne Liotta, Laida Lertxundi, Deborah Stratman,
Eve Heller, Dietmar Brehm, Kurdwin Ayub, Thorsten Fleisch, Dana Duff, Alexei
Dmitriev, Jim Finn, Zachary Epcar, Brendan and Jeremy Smyth, Esther Urlus,
Richard Tuhoy, Malena Szlam, Janis Crystal Lipzin, Billy Roisz, Mike Stolz,
Paul Clipson, Martha Jurksaitis, and others ...

For EIFF submission guidelines please visit:
http://www.edfilmfest.org.uk/submissions

Frameworkers are offered a special fee waiver for films under 60 minutes. If
you would like to submit a film please contact me first by email (make sure you
use kim.know...@edfilmfest.org.uk NOT the entire list!) and I will send you the
form and submission instructions. I will also be attending Rotterdam Film
Festival between January 23-26 and would be happy to chat with you there.

As always, I look forward to receiving your films.

Best wishes,

Kim Knowles

[Frameworks] Call for submissions: Edinburgh International Film Festival

2012-01-16 Thread Kim Knowles

Dear Frameworkers,
The EDINBURGH INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL (20TH JUNE - 1ST JULY 2012) invites
submissions of experimental films of any length and on either film (16mm, 35mm)
or video. As always, EIFF greatly encourages films on 16mm or 35mm.
This year's festival places even more emphasis on experimental film, with more
screenings and inclusion in the short film awards.
Please visit the website for further information on the submission process and
deadlines: http://www.edfilmfest.org.uk/submission. Fee waivers apply to
Frameworkers, but please contact me directly at kim.know...@edfilmfest.org.uk
for a Fee Waiver Submission Form. Otherwise, I will be at the Rotterdam Film
Festival from 26 - 30 January if you want to submit that way.
Looking forward to seeing your new works!
