Expose for the shadows, develop for the highlights. If it's too contrasty, increase the exposure and reduce the development time. That said, getting pictorial contrast out of a print stock is going to be a bit of an adventure and I think you'd be much better off with a very low contrast

I have a Panasonic NV-GS500 and it won't playback a TDK tape with the images  ... any reason why this would be ?  The tape was originally used in another camera and was fine.  I think it is more to do with the tape itself.  It comes up saying reset on the NV- GS500.  Any ideas ?
