Sequence is an artist-run publication devoted to contemporary film and video 
art, published by no.w.here in London and edited by Simon Payne. It aims to 
promote and disseminate ideas and current debates concerning new work, 
primarily from the perspective of its practitioners. Articles take the form of 
essays, interviews, statements and artists' pages. Content can be speculative, 
discursive, critical, opinionated and experimental.

We are currently inviting proposals for Sequence #4. In the first instance 
please send brief proposals (300 words) and images (if appropriate) to 
a...@no-w-here.org.uk by the 11th of November for consideration.

Guidelines: Contextual essays, interviews etc. addressing contemporary film and 
video art (no longer than 4000 words). Artists’ pages are usually one or two A4 
pages. Finished articles will need to be submitted by mid March. Sequence #4 
will be published in June 2014 to coincide with no.w.here’s 10th anniversary.

The first three issues of Sequence have included pieces by: Rob Mullender, 
Sandra Schäfer, Helga Fanderl, Peter Gidal, Takahiko Iimura, Adam Kossoff, 
Sarah Pucill and Margherita Sprio, William Raban, Karen Mirza and Brad Butler, 
A.L. Rees, Maxa Zoller, Lis Rhodes, Cathy Rogers, Samantha Rebello, Jeff Keen, 
Duncan White, Pip Chodorov and Kim Knowles; Angela Allen and Nicky Hamlyn, 
Shama Khanna, Lucy Parker,  Andrew Vallance, Mareike Bernien and Kerstin 
Schroedinger, William English, Bradley Eros, Neil Henderson, Hysteriography, 
Peter Kennard, Hilary Koob-Sassen, Esther Leslie, Bruce McClure, Gustave Morin, 
Martina Mullaney, Jayne Parker, Nina Power, William Raban and Vicky Smith. 

Sequence receives no external funding, no.w.here subsidizes the design and 
printing, editorial costs are met on a volunteer basis, and no.w.here does not 
generate any additional income from Sequence sales. Therefore unfortunately we 
are unable to pay contributors. 

Sequence is on sale at a range of bookshops and galleries including Tate 
Modern, the BFI Southbank, Koenig Books (Whitechapel Gallery), the LUX online 
shop and direct from no.w.here.
