This may be a long shot, but I'm trying to get in touch with Gary Richardson.
He was around Oakland and the SFAI in the late 1960s and early 1970s. A tech
guy who was making his own animation tables and optical printers and wound up
working closely with Jaakko Kurhi (of JK Optical Printers) for a time. He also
had a company called Effects for Film from 1971-76 or so that did a lot of
effects work for advertising agencies. They taught some classes on optical
printing at SFAI, too.
Anyway, if anyone knows or remembers Gary and can point me in the right
direction, I'd appreciate it.
