[Frameworks] question about Panasonic camera not playing a tape back with image

I have a Panasonic NV-GS500 and it won't playback a TDK tape with the images ... any reason why this would be ? The tape was originally used in another camera and was fine. I think it is more to do with the tape itself. It comes up saying reset on the NV- GS500. Any ideas ?
