Hello there Mariah, I'd be happy to lend or sell either one, two or three slightly compromised tripods. I have two with what might be called plates (although they are gerry-rigged). I also have one with perfect legs, but without a plate. They would be very cheap and you could pick them up at ATA Gallery. i might be barking up the wrong tree here, but i'm teaching a video class and need to buy a bunch of those crappy small tripods for the students - the ones without quick release plates.
