You can process, develop and transfer your own film - it is not easy but
neither is it impossible, and it gives you a great deal of creative control -
or chaos, if you prefer.
I cannot split film accurately so send my Regular 8 to the Old Film Company who
are very reliable - for all

I am not very familiar with labs in Europe but I would like to recommend
Kodak's 7222 bw 16mm film (ISO 200) for shooting winter scenes. I have used
this stock a number of times in snowy conditions and when exposed properly
results in nice detail in the snow that is not washed out
