Chocolate Bavarian Torte

1 pkg. Devils Food Cake
8 oz Cream Cheese, softened
2/3 c Brown Sugar, packed
1 tsp Pure Vanilla Extract
1/8 tsp Salt
2 c Cool Whip
Mini Chocolate Chips

1. Mix and bake cake according to package directions, using two 9 inch cake 
pans. Cool in pans for 15 minutes; remove from pans and cool completely on a 
wire rack.
2. In a large mixing bowl, beat cream cheese, sugar, vanilla, and salt until 
fluffy. Fold in Cool Whip (whipping cream, whipped.)
3. Split each cake into two horizontal layers; place one on a serving plate. 
Spread with a fourth of the cream mixture; sprinkle with mini chocolate 
chips. Repeat layers. Cover and refrigerate 8 hours or overnight (it doesn't 
always sit untouched that long at my house!)
Yield: 12 servings
