Peanut Brittle 2 cups granulated sugar 1/2 cup water 1/2 teaspoon cream of tartar 2 cups roasted salted peanuts Coat a baking sheet with oil; set aside. In a 3-quart heavy-bottomed saucepan over high heat, cook sugar, water and cream of tartar until mixture reaches a medium caramel color. Brush down the sides of the pan with a pastry brush dipped in warm water 2 times, to prevent the sugar from crystallizing. Add peanuts and stir with a wooden spoon to coat completely with caramel. Remove pan from heat and quickly pour mixture onto prepared baking sheet. Working quickly, spread mixture thinly with the back of a wooden spoon. Let peanut brittle cool completely (about 30 minutes), then break into pieces. Store in a tighlty covered container. Makes 10 servings. ~~~~~~~~~~ Rhonda G in Missouri Owner of http://groups.yahoo.com/group/a_place_for_chatting_and_friends/ Owner of http://groups.yahoo.com/group/awesomeswapsandmore/?yguid=301586139 Owner of http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Rhondas_Recipe_Exchange/?yguid=301586139 Owner of http://groups.yahoo.com/group/JustSwaps4USFriends/ All are looking for new members!!! ____________________________________________________________________________________ Looking for a deal?
