If you download the freeamp source, the lcd plugin code is in ui/lcd There doesn't seem to be any VC project files, so I guess that means it won't get built under windows. I can't really say how difficult it would be to build it on windows, but I don't see it being too difficult. You may want to look at: http://lcdproc.omnipotent.net/ AFAIK the freeamp plugin uses lcdproc to control a display. Some of the displays that lcdproc can talk to include buttons. I've never used either the freeamp plugin or a display with buttons, so I can't comment beyond that.
