Yep. it also works in the latest release.
Its upgraded to the new client/server protocol of lcdproc
It supports media info
it supports key input from lcdproc (keypad (connected to mtxorb display),
joystick and infrared)

freeamp -ui lcd does the job, server has to run on local host or simply do
port forwarding to the machine with the lcdproc server.

im maintaining the linux version, if there are any problems drop me a
line.
i think it should work with win32 too, there is no platform dependent
code.

LCD support for freeamp

How to start:
eg.: "freeamp -ui lcd playlist.pls"

LCDproc support (http://lcdproc.omnipotent.net) (v0.4x)

LCDproc supports multiple displays (visit the homepage), and has a client
server
architecture (multiple clients can display pages via the server on the
display).
Freeamp opens one display, and shows mediainfo (Title, Album, Band) and
the
current time on the display. It also supports "keys" from LCDproc (LCDproc
can
be configured to use a joystick, keypad or infrared input)
Configure LCDproc to use the following mapping for your favourite
keypad/remote ...

E Pause
F Next
G Prev
H Shuffle

Direct Support

The direct Matrix Orbital support shows the filename and the time on the
display.
I've never used it. So i don't know exactly if it works.
Maybe this will spin off into a new plugin.
