Hello,

Registration for BSDCan 2018 is now open. You can register today at
https://www.bsdcan.org/2018/registration.php

As mentioned last week when the schedule (
http://www.bsdcan.org/2018/schedule/) was announced, we have a great
line up of talks, ranging from a new Unix shell to faster ZFS clone deletion,
from RoCE as a performance accelerator to
SSH Key Management. There will be something for everyone, and chances are,
you'll want to go to more talks than is
possible. Don't worry about such conflicts; there will be video and audio later.

BSDCan, a BSD conference held in Ottawa, Canada, quickly established itself as
the technical
conference for people working on and with 4.4BSD based operating systems and
related projects.
The organizers have found a fantastic formula that appeals to a wide range of
people from extreme
novices to advanced developers.

When?

        • Tutorials: 6-7 June 2018 (Wed/Thu)
        • Conference: 8-9 June 2018 (Fri/Sat)

In keeping with the social aspect of the conference, BSDCan 2018 kicks off with
the annual Goat BoF,
this year at The Red Lion, not far from the University of Ottawa campus. This
low-key and social event
is now our lead-in to a great week of talks and tutorials Come along, meet
Groff The BSD Goat (@groffthebsdgoat),
see your friends, make new friends, and have a drink and a meal. We will have
the back room to ourselves,
but you are free to sit anywhere.

Don't forget about the tutorials. We have a half-day tutorials on:

* Ansible
* PF and networking tutorial with OpenBSD
* Writing TLS secured client and server programs using the libtls API from
libressl

We also have a full-day tutorial on BGP for non-experts.

Don't forget about the tutorials, with a full-day talk on BGP, and half day
talks on Ansible, PF and networking
tutorial with OpenBSD, & Writing TLS secured client and server programs using
the libtls API from libressl.

After the closing session (don't miss the auction), we will adjourn to the
social event. Don't miss it! Be sure to sign up
when you register online.

We have a great conference lined up. See you there.
