vt(4) font update will include U+27E8 and U+27E9 which are used by .Aq/.Ao in
UTF-8 locales. See https://people.freebsd.org/~emaste/vt.png for an example.

Ah, on another system with LANG=en_CA.UTF-8 I get:
Aq, Ao, Ac enclose in angle brackets: ⟨text⟩
