To clarify why I'm confused, during 10.2 testing (all BETA, RC, and final
RELEASE builds) I tested that:
1) pkg(8) was able to install packages from the upstream mirrors;
2) pkg(8) was

I'm slightly confused by this.
On my system, I see 'FreeBSD' for the '$ABI' and 'freebsd' for the '$ALTABI':
