[Bug 197578] md5 returns random values each time; breaking freebsd-update
https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=197578 Greg A. Woods changed: What|Removed |Added CC||woods-bugs.freebsd.org@robo ||hack.ca --- Comment #9 from Greg A. Woods --- Just an FYI for anyone who might search for this when experiencing the same problem. I have an old laptop (a macbook pro 7,1) that I had 12.1-RELEASE installed on (bare metal, no hypervisor). I did a freebsd-update to get to 12.1-RELEASE-P13, which worked A-OK. Then I tried to upgraded to 13.2-RELEASE, but ran into this problem (with the file /usr/bin/lldb in my case). No matter which target release I tried to upgrade to, the same error occurred. Glen's suggestion worked for me and the machine is now running 13.2 (In reply to Glen Barber from comment #4) -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.

https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=197578 --- Comment #4 from Glen Barber g...@freebsd.org --- Will you try adding 'vfs.unmapped_buf_allowed=0' to /boot/loader.conf, and rebooting the system? There were reports of having vfs.unmapped_buf_allowed enabled resulting in similar behavior in hypervisors (VirtualBox, Xen), but to my knowledge this was limited to i386. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ freebsd-bugs@freebsd.org mailing list http://lists.freebsd.org/mailman/listinfo/freebsd-bugs To unsubscribe, send any mail to freebsd-bugs-unsubscr...@freebsd.org
