Greetings everyone:

I have a Dell Inspiron 8200 running -current and I was wondering
how do I disable the machine from suspending when the LCD lid is closed
but have the screen turn off instead. Thanks.

This is the sysctl hw.acpi output:

root@bigbang [3:04pm][/home/vince] >> sysctl hw.acpi
hw.acpi.power_button_state: S5
hw.acpi.sleep_button_state: S1

hw.acpi.battery.state: 2

I had the following line issued and it didn't do anything.
Thanks.

/sbin/sysctl -w hw.acpi.lid_switch_state=NONE
