I believe an upgrade to the eventlib is coming Real Soon Now. I'm not sure about this - it might have been the logging module. BIND 8.2 is currently in alpha testing, and has some changes in eventlib compared to BIND 8.1.2. As far as I can see, there are minor differences in eventlib.c
