 Hello,

 I have updated my laptop today to /head r250588, the ports are also from
 SVN as of April 1;

 cuse4bsd-kmod-0.1.27
 webcamd-3.9.0.5
 skype-2.1.0.81_1,1
 libv4l-0.8.8_1
 v4l_compat-1.0.20120501_1
 linux-f10-libv4l-0.6.2

 The laptop has a built-in cam and I have attached another via USB,
 both are working fine with pwcview(1) of the ports;

 in Skype the external (a Philips SPC 900SC) can be probed, but does not
 work
 on calls; the built-in gives in Skype only a blank area;

 Both have been working before on a r21 from Oct 28, 2010;

 Has someone Skype working in a recent head?

 Thanks

 matthias

ataraid(4) functionality is now supported by the RAID GEOM class.
To use it you can load geom_raid kernel module and use graid(8) tool
for management. Instead of /dev/arX device names, use /dev/raid/rX.

BTW,
amr controllers seem not hiding real device, I got somethings like
ar0, ad4, ad6 in ATA era.
For solving device name issue, usually I use label,
but the unhided device make label duplicated,
anyway to tune it?

wpa_supplicant and ssid

2010-10-18 Thread Buganini
It seems that wpa_supplicant iterate through all scanned ssids and try to
associate with each,
and that cause two problem for me.

1) in my school, there are many AP, and connection is not stable, when
disconnect,
it take many time to try and fail to associate with those ssids until the
one I want.

2) i can't associate with a non-discoverable ssid

but probably it is my wireless driver's problem,
i'm using bwn0 and currently I need to force it to use mode 11b or it is
unusable.

or should I complain to upstream ?

 I found that if I 'ifconfig wlan0 destroy' followed by 'ifconfig

 /etc/rc.conf:
 ---
 wlans_bwn0=wlan0
 ifconfig_wlan0=WPA DHCP

 The corollery is that it doesn't work first time on reboot.  I need
 to either '/etc/rc.d/netif restart' and if that panics the machine,
 destroy wlan0 and then restart netif.

 Then wlan0/bwn0 associates correctly with this device.

Re: Call for Test and Review: bwn(4) - another Broadcom Wireless driver

2010-04-14 Thread Buganini
Hi, I got a Lenovo G450 with
siba_b...@pci0:4:0:0:   class=0x028000 card=0x04b514e4 chip=0x431514e4
rev=0x01 hdr=0x00
vendor = 'Broadcom Corporation'
device = 'Broadcom Wireless b/g (BCM4315/BCM22062000)'
class  = network

4315 is not in supported list, but however the driver took the device
bwn_v4_lp_ucode.ko was not loaded automatically, so I loaded it manually
ifconfig scan seem freeze, I can `ifconfig list scan` later and found
access point correctly,
but I can't associate with them, it just keep scanning channels.

My uname -ai:
FreeBSD Zeta.twbbs.org 9.0-CURRENT FreeBSD 9.0-CURRENT #1: Fri Mar 26
03:42:08 CST 2010 r...@zeta.twbbs.org:/usr/obj/usr/src/sys/ZETA
i386 Zeta

Is this bug or just lack of support?
